Northern daffodils – bright and bouncy Southern daffodils – sad and droopy
I saw a lovely poem on the Yorkshire duo site about daffodils in the north and thought it would be nice to write one telling you about the current plight of our daffodils here in the south (thankyou to you both for the inspiration)….
From the north first :
Tiny yellow trumpets,
Heralding the Spring.
Makes my heart go thump, it’s
Enough to make me sing.
From where I am in the south:
Tiny yellow trumpets
With’ring where they lie
Makes my heart go thump thump
Watching as they die

It is quite a contrast…
