A book by South Australian children’s author Mem Fox has been removed from schools in Duval County, Florida, after officials deemed it “pornographic material”.

More than 170 books have been removed from schools across Florida. Banning books from acclaimed and respected authors such as Fox appears a retrograde and dangerous practice.
