I’m training as a prostitute
A lady of the night
They say there’s heaps of dough to make
I really hope they’re right….










Just discovered this after completing above. It depicts Edward Garrett.
Destroys my concept a bit but answers questions on what it’s all about

He leans against a stool and smokes a cigarette. This is not a photograph of a small boy dressed as a girl, but of a teenager dressed as an infant: in the nineteenth century, all children under the age about five wore dresses. The actor shown here, Edward Garrett, was about fourteen years old at the time he appeared in the farce ‘The little stranger’, at the Criterion Theatre, London, in 1906, for which this card was published as publicity
