While we as individuals keep buying
From the gas-guzzling SUV range
We demand that our governments act on
The climate change problem abuse
But reluctant to give up our plastics
Reluctant to let go their use
Much energy and power is needed
To fuel all the toys we keep buying
While demanding the governments act on

Flippant, Comic, and Serious 
Indeed, we need to demand the changes we want to see! But we also need to understand the nature of the changes required. ‘There is no Planet B’ is an eye-opening book on this subject!

It is hypocritical to demand govt make necessary changes when we don’t make an effort ourselves…. yes, this is the only planet we’ve got and we’re wrecking it…..

But the governments bear a bigger portion of the guilt as they’re in a position to do something positive and all they do is line their pockets and pull the wool over our eyes: ‘with great power comes great responsibility.’ But I absolutely agree we all have to do our bit!
