Poet Don in deep ponder
Ponder this my loyal flock
Yes Poet Don?….
If you pay as you go
Yes?….
You probably won’t have
enough money to come back
(Blank looks all around)
Poet Don is a specialist in deep ponder
We are honoured to have him here with us

My flock appreciate this. They say “baa” back

I just hope you’re not counting on ’em!

I keep a constant count of them hoping they multiply rapidly. The more “baa”s the better I say…….

A sheep in the hand etc.? No, wait, that is an adage too far. I wonder why Kate Bush came into my mind!

Actually I did note
The lack of humbug baa
Cos if you’d gone and used it
Curmodgeonly by far…
I would have been most displeased
baa bleat

This might be a Baa-tle that will end in my defeat. You will find however that, I will not moan or Bleat.

To not moan or bleat
You velly nice sheep
To not utter sound
Nor utter a peep
How many other baa-lambs would bow down in defeat without a peep? I applaud you….

I may be lulling you into a false sense of security to leave the door ajar. Sometimes we lose a little battle in order to win the war!

My flock have suddenly lined up in medieval V fight/defence formation. I think you’ve got the poor little dears worried. They’ve all gone quiet. Some little lambs look to be shaking. Could just be the cold tho. ‘Tis mid winter here….

Please tell them to keep that formation, and to check all their comrades-in-arms, look out for that wolf in sheep’s clothing, he/she’s been spotted around other farms. People to do, things to see, over and out!
