Poet Don Reporting on London Postal Delivery 1889

Poet Don writes with quill and ink. He’s old-school

Back in 1889
London (smoggy grey)
Letters were delivered
Then twelve times a day

Things have changed

    1. A lot yep, but I could never keep up with responses I’d have to make. Can’t refuse Mrs Tinwhistles invite to tea and bikkies. Bother, there’s Mrs Fancypants invite next door for a chat. Stupid gossip.

Only give me one delivery Cecil (my dear postman). Send rest to dead letter office. No Cec we’ll still have our little session. Don’t forget your tie next time, naughty…….

Shit, Molly was wondering why the boss asked me where…….

I’m getting carried away in my own fantasy world here. Sorry….taking up comment space from others Cue Skip eye-roll…….
