15 Minutes All It Took

The flood came out of nowhere
No-one was prepared
Houses under water
Flood just didn’t care

15 minutes all it took
Cars, vans washed away
Trees uprooted, houses down
What more can I say?

Turned into a war zone
Dozens ended dead
Nature didn’t give a toss
Causing this bloodshed

The nature/human balance
At times hangs on a thread
We need to understand this
I’ve no more to be said

Can never win against nature. Our own faults probably. Messing with its balance. Really sad.

  Thanks for your comment. Rhyme works best for me with humour. Serious is not so easy to pull off. I wanted the photos to prompt something. They did, and I was pleased with the result…….
