Spider Ballooning

The rain can down in buckets
The ground got sodden wet
Spiders in their millions
Came out and spun a net

They spun their webs above the ground
Until below dried out
Young ones safely housed and fed
Survival it’s about

If they stayed on the ground they would drown
While lasting only a few days, it can stretch over
100’s of kilometres and can be blown up to 3km in the air.
It is a survival technique enabling spiders to continue hunting food
