Billy and Bluey’s Play

(Musical show just come to Adelaide
Billy’s mother has taken him to see Bluey’s Play)

Bluey’s having party
Mummy’s taking me
I’m getting real excited
We have our tickets (free)

I’m settling in the theatre
With all the girls and boys
Mummy sits beside me
I’m filled with excite, joy

I wanna sing along with Bluey
Mummy says ‘fraid no
Humming is allowed sweetie
But singing, sorry, no

Why mummy?….

Covid sweetie. Singing increases
the distance your droplets will travel….

But I wanna sing mummy….

The ticket says no singing. Sorry sweetie….

But more than 90% of 1100 people
in yesterday’s newspaper poll
said the move was silly mummy….

All the other girls and boys are singing
Are we going to get fined?….

(Mother – how do I respond?
I can’t stop my child from singing….)
