A five year-old

(A true story heard on the radio
when I was first learning to write)

A five year-old was diagnosed
with terminal cancer

The adults wept and wailed

The child could not understand
Why are you weeping and wailing?

The adults could not understand
Why are you not afraid?

Because I am going to a place
I’ve never been before

I’m excited

  1. Read it on Lucys site. The previous comments have a serious pov. So, sorry in advance.
If it’s just about the journey
    And not the final destination
    I’ll happily spend an eternity
Hoping my trains late to the station.
