BELATED ODE TO STRUGGLING SENTENCE

I have a little sentence
Forming in my head
Some reason it won’t jump-start
And come out to be read

You’ll notice by the time-lapse
(A day has now gone by)
My little struggling sentence
Did shrivel up and die
