My New Car and the Pesky Grammar Board (I’m inna silly Saturday mood)

My brake is a bit touchy (terchy)

The Grammar Board and I don’t quite see eye to eye
They’re always on my back for not conforming to their rules

It finally packed up on me
My trusty Ford Festiva
Stuck in reverse, it’s gearbox shot
I had to Rest In Peace her

Now have an automatic
But brake is rather terchy
Apply the foot like in the Ford
And car and I go lurchy

Grammar Board here poet
We did a thorough serchy
In our Book of Words, we did
But could not find your terchy

Or lurchy….

What’s going on here Grammar Board?
Serchy’s not a word
All have heard of terchy, lurchy

Haven’t we?…..

By the sound of this GB you need to add terchy, lurchy and searchy to your Book of Words. After all, Oxford have now added ‘sumfin’ to their Book of Words.
