Everyone is Mortal RIP David Bowie

David Bowie was an English singer/songwriter/actor
He came to public attention in 1969 with the Space Oddity
The BBC featured the song in it’s TV coverage of the Apollo 11 lunar mission
which took place a few days after the song’s release
He died on 10 January 2016 of liver cancer, age 69

Everyone is mortal
Everyone will die
David Bowie passed away
Many said goodbye

Reader you are mortal
Reader you will die
Even I as poet
Some day I will die

  1. Love this wonderful soul.

Something happened on the day he died
Spirit rose a metre and stepped aside
Somebody else took his place, and bravely cried
    (I’m a blackstar, I’m a blackstar)
