Geoffrey Arnold Beck (born 24 June 1944) is an English rock guitarist. He rose to prominence with the Yardbirds. In 1975, he switched to a mainly instrumental style, with a focus on innovative sound, and his releases have spanned genres ranging from blues rock, hard rock, jazz fusion and a blend of guitar-rock and electronica.
Beck ranked in the top five of Rolling Stone and other magazine’s list of 100 greatest guitarists. He is often called a “guitarist’s guitarist”. Rolling Stone describes him as “one of the most influential lead guitarists in rock”
He is very different.

Magnificent and the musicians know it. They are looking at each other and smiling knowing that this is something really special
This guy makes sounds into emotions.. no one else has made me feel so much just from the sound they produce..thank you Jeff .. you are incredible..
I like how Jeff is always prepared to step back and not take centre stage all the time.
for anyone interested, this music was written by a great Irish composer called Seán Ó Riada and it’s name is “Mná Na hÉireann”, which translates as “Women of Ireland”. There are words to this piece, originally from a poem by Peadair Ó Doirnín, itself called Women of Ireland
Jeff’s notes just drip off of his strings
