Stephen Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 â August 27, 1990) was an American musician, best known as the guitarist and frontman of the blues rock trio Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. Although his mainstream career spanned only seven years, he is regarded as one of the most influential musicians in the history of blues music, and one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
On August 27, 1990, Vaughan and four others were killed in a helicopter crash in East Troy, Wisconsin, after performing with Double Trouble at Alpine Valley Music Theatre. An investigation concluded that the cause of the accident was pilot error.
Lyrics below
Mary had a little lamb,
Its fleece was white as snow, yeah.
Everywhere the child went,
The little lamb was sure to go, yeah.
He followed her to school one day,
And broke the teacher’s rule.
What a time did they have,
That day at school.
Tisket, tasket,
A green and yellow basket.
Sent a letter to my baby,
On my way I passed it.
