The Doors were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, with vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore. They were among the most controversial and influential rock acts of the 1960s, partly due to Morrison’s lyrics and voice, along with his erratic stage persona.
The band took its name from the title of Aldous Huxley‘s book The Doors of Perception.

This is in my opinion the most successful performance of a rock group within a television context. Jim is sensationally explosive and his whole body has dynamics that attack the intimate rules of stage television presence. A genius.
Absolutely incredible performance. Jim Morriston a classic case of capturing the moment, the zeitgeist, he really did have the world in his hands for a few short years. “The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long” R.I.P
Lyrics below
“Light My Fire”
You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn’t get much higher
Come on, baby, light my fire
Come on, baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try, now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on, baby, light my fire
Come on, baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
Yeah
The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try, now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on, baby, light my fire
Come on, baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
Yeah!
You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn’t get much higher
Come on, baby, light my fire
Come on, baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire
Try to set the night on fire
One of my favourite bands 🖤
