When I was a “weekend warrior” in the U.S. Army Reserves, back in the late 60s/early 70s, I had to go for one weekend a month to serve at a military post. I was a hippie back then with long hair, but I had a short wig that I would don for those weekends. I would tuck my long hair under the short wig and no one in the army was the wiser. Or at least so I hoped.
