That hotel is now finished but no less empty and useless. Personally I think alot of unanswered questions about the very existence of NK are overlooked because the uncanny valley effect. North Korea shouldn’t exist and I say that I don’t mean morally, I don’t buy the horror stories to keep people out. It’s not possible to keep 20 millions people a secret in 2021. When you look over it there is next to no proof of life outside of maybe 2 thousand troops during a parade.
Anyways, I venture that it’s a sandbox society for China/South to test human behaviour which explains why South Korea are able to produce effortlessly popular material ranging from music to TV to movies and usually with disarmingly brilliantly subversive social commentary…
