FCS Daily Music Video – ‘Bad Moon Rising’ Creedence Clearwater Revival

Creedence Clearwater Revival were an American rock band between 1968 and 1972 playing ‘swamp rock’. Lead singer/songwriter John Fogerty now in his 70’s shows no sign of slowing down

Lyrics below

I see the bad moon a-rising
I see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightning
I see bad times today

Don’t go around tonight
Well, it’s bound to take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise

I hear hurricanes a-blowing
I know the end is coming soon
I fear rivers overflowing
I hear the voice of rage and ruin

Don’t go around tonight
Well, it’s bound to take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise

All right

Hope you got your things together
Hope you are quite prepared to die
Looks like we’re in for nasty weather
One eye is taken for an eye

Well, don’t go around tonight
Well, it’s bound to take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise

Don’t go around tonight
Well, it’s bound to take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise

      1. I think I have come to the conclusion that I cannot reliably name one artist/band as number one on the top of the list. I used to say Led Zeppelin was at the top of the list. They may be yet. I recently reacquired their first two LPs, both released in 1969. Ah, yes. Incredible. I was 13 when I heard their first album on a local (Albuquerque, NM) FM radio station that, on a certain night of the week (Friday?) played full albums. I was awestruck. Experienced that again a few weeks ago when I played my newly arrived LP. So, yeah, Led Zeppelin just might be at the top of the list.

But… play a CCR recording, I’ll probably say THEY are at the top… or Santana… or Eagles… or Chicago… or Queen… or Crosby, Stills, and Nash… or Toto… or Billy Joel… or Linda Ronstadt… or, what the heck, the Gatlins

      2. You don’t get radio stations playing complete albums anymore.

As you say each band has it’s own unique sound and beauty.

Never heard of Gatlins before but ‘All the gold in California’ has very true lyrics…..
