The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. A diverging act to the popular pop rock of the early-1960s, the Rolling Stones pioneered the gritty, heavier-driven sound that came to define hard rock. Their first stable line-up was bandleader Brian Jones (guitar, harmonica, keyboards), Mick Jagger (lead vocals, harmonica), Keith Richards (guitar, vocals), Bill Wyman (bass guitar), and Charlie Watts (drums)
Lyrics below
Bill Wyman is an English musician/record producer/songwriter/singer and was co-founder of the Rolling Stones. He was bassist for the group from
1962 to 1993. He is now 84.
I am the little red rooster
Too lazy to crow for day
I am the little red rooster
Too lazy to crow for day
Keep everything in the farm yard upset in every way
The dogs begin to bark and hounds begin to howl
Dogs begin to bark and hounds begin to howl
Watch out strange cat people
Little red rooster’s on the prowl
If you see my little red rooster
Please drive him home
If you see my little red rooster
Please drive him home
Ain’t had no peace in the farm yard
Since my little red rooster’s been gone

Stones, always a favourite in the Hobbo household. Especially this early stuff…

I find they were much calmer with their early work and the tunes simple and easy to follow, as this one.
